Where are you located?
Yellow Lemon Party Hire is based in Hillary's, Perth, WA.

When can I collect/return the items for DIY?
Generally, pickups are offered on Fridays or Saturdays. However, if it’s a fully booked weekend with event setups, Saturday collections may be unavailable, and two pickup times will be offered on Friday instead. Someone else may collect on your behalf if you provide their details and ensure they bring ID at the time of collection.

DIY hire periods typically range from 24-48 hours, depending on availability. If items are required for another booking the same weekend, the hire period will be limited to 24 hours.

 

When do I get my bond back?
Bond payments are processed and returned by the Friday following your event after a thorough cleaning and inspection of items.

I need to cancel or amend my booking.
Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for details on cancellations and amendments.

🌸 Picnic FAQs

How big are the picnic tables?
Each table is approximately 1m x 63cm x 15cm when folded flat and should fit comfortably in a standard vehicle.

I’ve booked a DIY picnic set. Do I need to clean the items before returning them?
Yes, all hired items must be returned in the same condition as received. Please:

  • Wash plates, glasses, and napkins.

  • Shake out rugs or machine wash (max 40°C cycle) if heavily soiled.

  • Brush off cushions to remove dirt and grass.

  • Wipe tables and grazing boards (use a liner for meat).

  • Handwash acrylic glassware and melamine plates (no dishwashers).

I’m worried the kids will dirty the picnic setup. What happens if this occurs?
While accidents happen, hirers are responsible for ensuring items are returned in good condition. To minimize mess:

  • Avoid foods that stain (e.g., tomato-based dishes).

  • Opt for pre-packaged snacks like sandwiches or fruit cups.

  • Wipe spills immediately.
     

I’ve booked a picnic but now have fewer guests. Can I change my booking?
For changes within 14 days of the booking, no reductions can be made.

I’ve booked a picnic but now have more guests attending. Can I add extra items?
Depending on availability, yes! Please contact me as soon as possible to arrange.

Do I need a permit/booking for a DIY picnic?
Generally, no permit is required for small gatherings. However, it’s always best to check the local council’s website or reserve authority for their specific requirements.

Can I setup on the beach?
Beach setups are possible, but I need to be notified in advance to adjust the setup and provide appropriate items. An additional clean-up fee applies for beach picnics.

I want to bring my own flowers or decorations. Can I do that?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to add your personal touches to the setup.

I’ve ordered a custom personalized sign. Can I keep it?

  • MDF Signs: You can choose to keep these or return them.

  • Acrylic Signs: These must be returned after the event.

I’ve ordered a balloon garland. Can I keep it?
Yes, the balloon garlands are all yours to keep and enjoy!
